There are two popular types of lip lifts:

An upper lip lift is designed for people with a vertically elongated philtrum – the space between the bottom of your nose and your top lip. This procedure removes a sliver of tissue from that space.  Your upper lip is lifted to fill the space, producing a permanently larger, fuller top lip and a brighter smile.

A corner lip lift corrects lips that droop on the sides, often due to the effects of gravity or collagen loss. By re-arranging skin at the corner of your mouth, your default expression changes from angry, hostile, or sad to pleasant, serene, and energetic.  This procedure changes the “you’re fired” look to “you’re hired.” 

A lip lift is performed as an outpatient under local anesthesia. A wavy line beneath the nose minimizes the visibility of scar, which often completely disappears.  A corner lip lift is approached at lip edges within natural borders at the sides of your mouth.

Surgery is often completed in an hour or two, and you’ll notice an immediate difference in your appearance. It may take several weeks for swelling to subside, but once it does, you’ll be amazed at the big impact of this small procedure.

Eyelid Surgery: From Fatigued to Fabulous

Puffed-up or drooping skin around your eyelids can make you look tired, worn out, and older than you really are. Whether you have bags beneath your eyes, excess skin and eye wrinkles, or sagging eyelids, eyelid surgery can rejuvenate your appearance and help you look brighter, younger, and more alert.

Eyelid surgery, also known as blepharoplasty, can be performed on the lower or upper eyelids.

• Lower eyelid surgery helps correct sagging, bulging, or bags beneath the eyes. Incisions are generally made directly below the lower lash line, or occasionally on the inside of the lower eyelid.
• Upper eyelid surgery lifts droopy or hooded lids to create smoother contours and a more awake, energetic expression. The incision is hidden along the natural crease of your upper eyelid, minimizing the appearance of scars.

While blepharoplasty is largely a painless procedure, recovery time usually takes between 10 and 14 days. You can opt to have both lower and upper eyelid surgery at the same time, and you may also combine it with other minor facial procedures, such as a lip lift.
