Before and four weeks after breast lift (mastopexy) surgery. Patient wanted areola reduction, a smaller size diameter of the pigmented glandular circle around the nipple. Most breast lift techniques allow adjustment of areola size, so enlargement or reduction of the areola ("nipple-areola complex") may be incorporated into the procedure plan. Average youthful female areola diameter is 3.5 - 5.5 centimeters and is very much breast size and skin quality dependent.
